Track and Field Competes in Yale Springtime Invitational

New Haven, Conn.  - Freshman Terri Goldson (Ansonia, Conn.) finished first in the men's high jump, leaping 1.94 meters and ninth in the triple jump, with a mark of 11.92 meters to lead the American International College track and field team at the 2008 Yale Springtime Invitational.

AIC was also led by several other solid performances. Freshman Maurice Calenda (Bloomfield, Conn.) came in third in the men's long jump, soaring 6.78 meters, while another freshman out of Bloomfield, Antoine Relerford placed 12th, leaping 6.01 meters.

In the javelin throw, freshman Justin Roberts (Sutton, Mass.) placed ninth with a toss of 51.12 meters while freshman Paul Starka (Ballston Spa, NY) finished in 21st placed with a 35.57m. Starka also placed 16th in the men's shot put with a toss of 11.30.

Freshman Matt Hagerty (Springfield, Mass.) was the seventh place finisher in the 5000 meter run, ending with a time of 15.41.58.

Next week begins the Northeast-10 Championships.
