Track and Field Competes at New England's

Results

Boston, Mass. - Maurice Calenda (Bloomfield, Conn.), Deion Lawson (Rahway, N.J.), Lloyd Brown (Bloomfield, Conn.), Crieg Lawson (Coheos, N.Y.) and Matt Hegarty (Springfield, Mass.) all represented American International College at the 2008 New England Championships held at the Boston University Track and Tennis Center over the weekend.

Calenda was sent to the New England Championships after finishing second in the men's long jump at the Northeast-10 Championships. He led the Yellow Jackets at the New England's finishing 11th overall leaping 6.61 meters. Levens also ranked in the top 20 within his event, finishing 19th in the 5000-meter run with an overall time of 15.34.27.

Deion Lawson earned 23rd in the 55-meter hurdle racing to an 8.40, Hegarty placed 29th in the 5000-meter run speeding to a 15:57.51 while Brown finished 23rd in 55-meter dash with a 6.70.

The meet was the final of the season for the indoor track squad.
