VOLLEYBALL DOWNS SAINT MICHAEL'S 
 
COLCHESTER, Vt. (October 15, 2006) – Saint Michael's College (8-11, 2-9 NE-10) was defeated by American International College (4-10, 2-8 NE-10) 3-1 by the scores of 30-25, 18-30, 25-30, 16-30 in a Northeast-10 volleyball match on Sunday afternoon at the Ross Sports Center. The Purple Knights won the first match but could not capitalize as they fall 3-1.

For the Yellow Jackets, junior Charisse Trotman (Bristol, Conn./Bristol Eastern) had a match-high 18 kills and classmate Ozge Ozkan (Istanbul, Turkey/Kenan Evran) added 40 helpers. Freshman Jennifer Hormann (Forest Grove, Oregon/Forest Grove) posted 25 digs in the win for American International.

For the Purple Knights, sophomore Audrey Rose Hagert (Berlin, Conn./Berlin) had a team-high 11 kills and classmate Amy Manougian contributed with 33 assists and 13 digs. Sophomore Stephanie Smetana (Independence, Mo./Truman) tallied 20 digs in the defeat.
