Penmen Sweep Women's Volleyball 3-0

 

Springfield, Mass - Brianna Doucet (Danville, NH) posted a team-high 11 kills as the visiting Penmen of Southern New Hampshire swept the women's volleyball squad 3-0 (32-30, 30-26, 30-28) in a Northeast-10 match-up Wednesday evening in the Butova gymnasium.

Despite the sweep, all three matches were closely played. AIC dropped an evenly played first match 32-30 before suffering their worse loss of the evening 30-26 in the second match. In the third and final contest the Penmen squeaked out a 30-28 victory to end the contest and earn their third conference victory of the year moving their overall record to 8-10 and their Northeast-10 mark to 3-5. The loss drops AIC to 5-8 overall and 3-6 in the Northeast-10.

FreshmanKambryn Williams (Pomona, Cali) totaled 11 kills and 12 digs while Keziah Kashouh (West Warwick, RI) totaled eight kills in the losing effort for the Yellow Jackets. Ozge Ozkan (Istanbul, Turkey) led all players with 37 assists for AIC.

The Jackets will take on Bentley on the road, October 25th at 7:30 pm.
