Volleyball Goes 1-1 in Afternoon Action.

Springfield, Mass. - The American International College
volleyball team went 1-1 in two non-conference matches against
Caldwell College and the University of Sciences earlier Saturday
afternoon. The squad competed in a two-day, three-game weekend
tournament in Philadelphia, on campus at the University of
Sciences.
In the team's first match, AIC easily downed Caldwell College 3-0 (30-19, 30-21, 30-25). In that match, freshman Keziah Kashouh led the team with six kills while sophomore Jennifer Hormann earned a team-high 12 kills. Senior Candace Joseph led the squad with two solo blocks.
In the second match of the afternoon, AIC dropped a close contest to the host team, the University of Sciences, 3-2, (30-23, 28-30, 27-30, 30-28, 16-14). Stand-out freshman Kambryn Williams racked up 16 kills and 12 digs en-route to the double-double while Keziah Kashouh stacked up 13 kills. Manda Bronson also earned double-digit kills, finding space for 10 finishers.
The Jackets finished the weekend 2-1 overall, moving their record to 2-2 on the season and 0-1 in the Northeast-10. AIC downed Southern Connecticut 3-2 Friday evening before today's action.
The Jackets will head back into Northeast-10 action Tuesday
evening at 7:00 pm when they square off against UMass-Lowell.
