Volleyball Falls at Bentley 3-1

Waltham, Mass. – The American International College volleyball team dropped a 3-1 (19-30, 18-30, 30-27, 28-30) decision at Bentley Thursday afternoon. They Falcons improved to 18-8 on the season and 10-1 in the Northeast-10, while the Yellow Jackets fell to 5-10 overall and 3-8 in conference play. Freshman outside hitter Kambryn Williams (Pomona, Calif.) led AIC with 12 kills, 16 digs and four blocks.

Bentley had four players record at least 10 kills in the match, including a match-high 19 kills from senior middle blocker Christina Sadowski (Salem, N.H.), who also added eight digs, and sophomore outside hitter Alex Kearney (La Jolla, Calif.). Sophomore middle blocker Kristine Mickelson (San Diego, Calif.) and freshman middle blocker Andrea Farah (Miami, Fla.) added 11 and 10 kills, respectively. Junior setter Tori Piskulick (San Diego, Calif.) set 42 assists, while sophomore libero Cassie Kraft (New Braunfels, Texas) notched a match-high 19 digs.

Freshman middle hitter Alicia Smith (Barbados) tallied nine kills for the Yellow Jackets and freshman outside hitter Keziah Kashouh (West Warwick, R.I.) added eight kills. Senior setter Ozge Ozkan (Istanbul, Turkey) and senior setter Charisse Trotman (Bristol, Conn.) registered 22 and 17 assists, respectively, while freshman middle hitter Manda Bronson (Elkland, Park, Pa.) recorded a match-high five blocks. Sophomore libero Jennifer Hormann (Forest Grove, Ore.) had 16 digs.

AIC will next travel to Pace Sunday for a 3 p.m. Northeast-10 contest.
