Volleyball Blanked at Franklin Pierce
Rindge, N.H. - The American International College volleyball team dropped a 3-0 (30-18, 30-23, 30-15) decision at Franklin Pierce University Tuesday night. The Ravens improved to 18-15 on the season and 10-4 in the Northeast-10, while the Yellow Jackets dropped to 5-12 overall and 3-10 in conference play.
Franklin Pierce was led by junior middle hitter Nicole Buchholz (Ashburn, Va.), who tallied a match-high 16 kills. Junior setter Karissa Hookstadt (Camarillo, Calif.) handed out 34 assists and freshman libero Chelsie Kohout (Harrison Township, Mich.) had a match-high 17 digs.
Senior outside hitter Alicia Cotton (Dearborn Heights, Mich.) and sophomore outside hitter Katie Wilkinson (Silverdale, Wash.) had four kills each for AIC. Senior setter Ozge Ozkan (Istanbul, Turkey) had 10 assists and freshman outside hitter Kambryn Williams (Pomona, Calif.) had nine digs.
The Yellow Jackets will wrap-up the 2007 season Saturday at
Saint Rose at 1 p.m.
