Four Yellow Jackets Named to Weekly Basketball Honor Rolls

South Easton, Mass. - Senior forward Alexis Castro (Chula Vista, Calif.), junior forward Stacy Boisvert (Agawam, Mass) and junior guard Jeannette Johnathan (Central Islip, N.Y.) of the American International College women's basketball team and along with Junior guard Vernon Dupree (Wilmington, Del.) of the men's basketball squad were named to the Northeast-10 Weekly Honor Roll for their respective performances this past week.

Boisvert averaged 12 points and five rebounds in two games played. She scored 12 points with four rebounds in AIC's win over Bentley and netted 12 points with six boards and two steals in a victory at Saint Rose.

Castro averaged a double-double with 14 points and 11 rebounds per game. She scored 19 points with 12 boards and six assists in the Yellow Jackets win over Bentley and netted nine points with 11 rebounds in a victory at Saint Rose.

Dupree averaged 16.5 points and 5.5 rebounds this past week. He netted 16 points with seven rebounds and three assists against top-ranked Bentley and tallied 17 points and four rebounds at Saint Rose.

Johnathan averaged 16 points on 11-of-17 (7-7 3FG) shooting from the field, two rebounds, two assists and two steals last week. She scored a career-high 16 points on 6-of-9 shooting from the field and was 3-for-3 from 3-point range to go with three rebounds, three assists and two steals in AIC's win over Bentley and netted 16 points on 5-of-8 shooting and a 4-for-4 performance from downtown at Saint Rose.

The men's and women's basketball teams return to action Tuesday when they host Pace in a Northeast-10 doubleheader. The women's game will get under way at 5:30 p.m. and the men's game is set for a 7:30 p.m. tip-off.
