WOMEN'S LAX FALLS TO NEW HAVEN
West Haven, Conn. (April 11, 2007) -- Sophomore Brianna Kenworthy led all players with five goals and freshman Traci Cornwell had seven points as the University of New Haven women's lacrosse team scored a 19-5 non-conference win over American International College at Robert B. Dodds Stadium on Wednesday afternoon.
New Haven evened its record this season to 5-5, scoring 12 goals in the opening period en route to the victory. Kenworthy's five-goal output was her career high, and Cornwell (three goals, four assists) had at least seven points for the third time in her last four games.

Sarah LeGoff hit the back of the net three times, Kristine Lambracht had two goals and two assists, and Amy Shields and Stacey Krasnoff each scored once. Goalkeeper Alison Wagner made five saves in the victory, as UNH's defense limited AIC (0-6) to just 13 shots overall.
Yellow Jacket goalie Megan Trytsman (Kwazulu Natal, South Africa) made 14 saves in the losing effort, with UNH taking 39 shots overall. Katie Warner (Westfield, Mass.) scored three goals to lead AIC, while Morgan Mastronardi (Crunna, Ontario) and Caitlin Mooney (Wilbraham, Mass.) scored once each.
