Penmen Cruise Past Women's Lacrosse 20-4
Springfield, Mass. (April 18, 2007) - Senior Lindsey Wolfe
(Westfield, Mass.) tallied a pair of goals for the Yellow Jackets,
but AIC fell 20-4 to Southern New Hampshire University Wednesday
afternoon in a Northeast-10 clash. The win propels the Penmen to
6-2 overall and 4-1 in the Northeast-10 while the loss drops the
Yellow Jackets to 1-8 overall and 1-5 in the Northeast-10.
AIC fell behind early, and was never able to establish an offensive attack. Kate Warner (Westfield, Mass.) and Caitlin Mooney (Wilbraham, Mass.) also scored in the losing effort. Megan Trytsman (Kwa-Zulu Natal, South Africa) played well for AIC, turning away 11 shots on net.
Maura Murphy and Laura Rotolo both scored four
times while Lisa McEachern turned away seven shots for the visiting
Penmen.
