WOMEN'S LACROSSE FALLS TO SAINT MICHAEL'S

BOX SCORE

COLCHESTER, Vt. (March 31, 2007) - The American International College women's lacrosse team suffered a 23-3 defeat at the hands of Saint Michael's College in Northeast-10 play Saturday afternoon.  The Purple Knights improve to 3-3 and 2-1 in NE-10 play while the Yellow Jackets are 0-5 and 0-3 in the league.

Caitlin Mooney (Wilbraham, Mass.) led AIC with two goals and an assist.  She needs just three more points to become the fifth player in program history to notch 100 career points.  Lindsey Wolfe (Westfield, Mass.) had AIC's other goal, while Jessica Scearbo (Arlington, Mass.) added an assist.  Megan Rule led Saint Michael's with four goals and four assists.

Goalie Megan Trytsman (Kwazulu Natal, South Africa) made 15 saves for the Yellow Jackets as they were outshot 50-10.  Sarah Landis made five stops for SMC.

AIC is slated to host Assumption Wednesday in a 3:00 contest.
