Georgian Court Downs Women's Lacrosse 22-5
SPRINGFIELD, Mass. - The American
International College women's lacrosse team lost 22-5 on Saturday
afternoon to Georgian Court. The loss brings the Yellow Jackets
record to 0-9 on the season, while the win improves the Lions to
12-7. Senior Caitlin Mooney (Wilbraham, Mass.)
scored three of AIC's five goals and had one assist.
Georgian Court scored the games first goal 25 seconds into the match and never looked back. They led 11-0 before the Yellow Jackets scored their first goal as Mooney grabbed her first goal with 1:38 left in the first half.
Sophomore Jillian Hadfield (Jackson, N.J.) had four goals and four assists, while classmate Laura Housel (West Caldwell, NJ) scored five times and added one assist. Freshman Ryan McGrath (Manasquan, N.J.) notched four goals and three assists.
Junior Katie Warner (Westfield, Mass.) had one goal and one assist, while sophomore Morgan Mastronardi (Corunna, Ont.) added on goal for the Yellow Jackets
Next up, AIC hosts New Haven on April 9th, at 4 p.m.
