Mooney Makes Post-Season NE-10 All-Academic Squad

Springfield, Mass.-  Senior Caitlin Mooney (Wilbraham, Mass.) of the American International College women's lacrosse team was named to the Northeast-10 All-Academic squad earlier this afternoon

Mooney will leave the Yellow Jackets lacrosse program as the all-time leader in points and goals. For her career, she finished with 131 goals and 158 points. This season alone she totaled 34 goals and eight assists for 42 points. She totaled her 150th career point against St. Thomas Aquinas, April 13th at home. In the classroom, Mooney has accumulated a 3.55 GPA in AIC's Physical Therapy program.

To be eligible for selection to the academic teams, a student-athlete must have met and/or exceeded the following minimum requirements: 1) participated in at least half of the team's competitions and be either a starter or significant contributor; 2) achieved a 3.2 cumulative grade point average (on a 4.0 scale); and 3) completed at least one academic year at his/her current institution. The Northeast-10 All-Academic Teams are chosen by a vote of the Northeast-10 Sports Information Directors.
