WRESTLING INKS TWO FOR THE SECOND SEMESTER

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (January 10, 2007) - American International College wrestling coach Chaz Seibert announced that a pair of wrestlers will join his suqad for the second semester of the 2006-07 season.

Travis James hails from Plattsburgh, New York. James was a decorated competitor while in high school raking up a career 106-34 record while attending Beekman High School. James is transferring from Norwich University where he placed third in the 125-pound weight class in the New England Championships in 2005. He was the runner up at the Springfield, Massachusetts Div. III Tournament, placed fifth in the Ithaca Div. III Tournament and third in the Roger Williams Tournament. James also earned the outstanding freshman award from Norwich University in 2005. He plans on studying liberal arts and sciences and general studies and humanities. James will be the projected starting wrestler at the 125-weight class.

"I'm extremely excited about the addition of James," said Seibert "At this stage of the season I couldn't ask for a more qualified wrestler that has vital collegiate experience, and in addition will fill a big void in our line-up that we lacked in the first semester."

The second of the two additions, Chris Bukowski, comes from Brockway, Pennsylvania where as a high school wrestler he finished his career with a 65-27 record under Head Coach Keith Ferrarro and competed on the Brockway Rovers state semi-finalist team and the PIAA state runner-up. Bukowski was a Tri-County All-Star team honorable mention as a freshman, sophomore and senior. Bukowski will be a second semester sophomore after transferring from Penn State Dubois and will be studying Elementary Education. He is projected to wrestle at the 149-pound weight class.

"I'm excited about Chris because I know he has wrestled on a really good Pennsylvania team and had some really first-rate coaching in high school," said Seibert. "He also has a very good chance of breaking in the line-up at 149-pounds."

In addition to the two recruits Seibert's will be adding AIC junior Derick Sandiford to his roster who will be vying alongside Bukowski for the 149-pounds starting position.
