AIC, BENTLEY BATTLE TO 2-2 WOMEN'S SOCCER DRAW

BOX SCORE

WALTHAM, Mass. (September 24, 2005) - American International College and Bentley College played to a 2-2 draw in a Northeast-10 women's soccer match Saturday afternoon.  The Yellow Jackets are now 1-6-1 and 0-5-1 in NE-10 play, while the Falcons sit at 0-4-3 and 0-4-2 in the league.

All of the scoring took place in the first half, with AIC jumping out to a 2-0 lead.  Ashley Padden (Louisville, N.Y.) made it 1-0 at the 14:31 mark when she scored on an assist from Lindsey Wolfe (Westfield, Mass.).  Caitlin Mooney (Wilbraham, Mass.) 5:26 later when she notched an unassisted tally.

Karen Bagley would score twice for the Falcons in a span of 1:01 to knot the game at 2.  Her first goal at 41:13 came off a feed from Katie Halpin, while she scored 2:46 before intermission when she took a pass from Kristen Wolcott.  Neither team would find the back of the net in the second half or the two 10-minute overtime periods.

Danielle Hodecker (West Springfield, Mass.) notched six saves for American International, while Jackie Bourque totaled five saves for the Falcons.  Both teams registered 17 shots.

AIC returns to action Tuesday when it travels to Saint Michael's for a 4:00 contest.
