YELLOW JACKETS BLANKED BY DOLPHINS
SYRACUSE, N.Y. (September 6,
2006) - Sophomore Jackie Rossi (Phoenix,
N.Y./Phoenix) had a hand in two goals as Le Moyne blanked
American International 3-0 in a Northeast-10 Conference women's
soccer match at the Thomas J. Niland Athletic Complex. The Dolphins
(3-1, 2-1 Northeast-10) have won three of their first four matches,
while American International dips to 1-3 overall and 0-3 in league

Rossi scored one goal and assisted on another in a two minute span to make it 3-0 midway through the half. She tallied her second goal of the season in the 63rd minute and set up freshman Ashley Zaremba (Watertown, N.Y./Immaculate Heart) for her first goal two minutes later.
Le Moyne sophomore goalkeeper Amanda Abbatiello (Liverpool, N.Y./Liverpool) made two saves for her first career shutout. Sophomore Danielle Hodecker (West Springfield, Mass./West Springfield) made eight saves in the setback for AIC. The Dolphins outshot their guests 29-2.
