St. Anselm Shuts Out Women's Soccer 2-0

Manchester, N.H. - The American International College women's soccer team dropped a 2-0 decision at Saint Anselm College Wednesday afternoon. The Hawks improved to 8-7-3 overall and 5-5-3 in the Northeast-10, while the Yellow Jackets fell to 7-11-0 overall and 2-10-0 in conference play.

Saint Anselm took the lead when freshman forward Gabriella Pesce (Salem, Mass.) scored on a penalty kick with 2:59 remaining in the first half. Freshman midfielder Jennifer Pearl (Stoughton, Mass.) added an insurance goal in the 75th minute for the 2-0 final.

Junior keeper Micaela Smith (Andover, Mass.) four saves in 77:04 to record the win in net for the Hawks Junior keeper Danielle Hodecker (West Springfield, Mass.) made six saves for AIC.

The Yellow Jackets will play their final home match of the season Saturday when they host St. Rose at 1 p.m. at AIC Park .
