Jacket's Blank Non-Conference Westfield 3-0

WESTFIELD - American International College posted a 3-0 victory over Westfield State College in women's soccer action on Monday evening, Sept. 17.

The Yellow Jackets improved to 5-4 overall and remained 2-3 in the Northeast-10 while Westfield dropped to 2-4.

AIC scored with 35 seconds left in the first-half on Morgan Mastronardi's (Corunna, Ontario) high shot just under the crossbar.

AIC senior forward Joanne Germano (West Springfield, Mass) scored in the 60th minute following a pass to the right corner from Tyler Rockefeller (Greenlawn, NY).

Freshman Nikki Gode (Killingworth, Conn.) scored on a direct kick in the 86th minute.

Despite losing by three goals, Westfield played well and outshot AIC, 15-14. AIC freshman goalie Kara Potts (Westfield, Mass.) made a stellar save on the first shot and the second shot caromed off the left post.
