WOMEN'S TENNIS FALLS TO ASSUMPTION

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (April 13, 2006) - Sarah Pfefferkorn (Ludlow, Mass.) of the American International College women's tennis team picked up closed out her freshman season with a victory but the Yellow Jackets fell to Assumption 8-1 Thursday.  AIC finishes the season 0-12 overall and in the Northeast-10, while the Greyhounds are now 3-8 overall and in the league.

Pfefferkorn posted a victory over Courtney Caron of Assumption, who was forced to retire with an injust weith Pfefferkorn leading 5-4 in the first set.  Pfefferkorn closes out the season with a 6-5 record.
