PFEFFERKORN WINS FOURTH-STRAIGHT IN WOMEN'S TENNIS SETBACK

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (April 9, 2006) - Sarah Pfefferkorn (Ludlow, Mass.) of the American International College women's tennis team picked up her fourth straight victory at No. 1 singles on Sunday as the Yellow Jackets fell to Saint Anselm 8-1 at the AIC courts.  The Hawks improve to 5-7 and 4-5 in Northeast-10 play, while the Yellow Jackets are 0-9 overall and in the league.

Pfefferkorn, a freshman, has now won five of her last singles matches and sports a 5-3 overall record in singles play.  She earned a 6-1, 6-3 victory over Lauren Koloski of Saint Anselm.

AIC returns to action Tuesday when it travels to Franklin Pierce.
