SPRINGFIELD, Mass. – #Joe Cardarelli# will join the American International College men’s ice hockey program as a graduate assistant coach for the upcoming 2008-09 campaign, it was announce by head coach #Gary Wright#. He arrives at AIC with nearly 10 years of coaching experience at the youth, high school, college and national levels.

She is entering her ninth year with the Yellow Jackets’ athletics program and previously served as the department’s office manager.

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. - The American International College football team has tremendous depth at nearly every position on the field and will once again be a threat to win the Northeast-10 title. The most interesting position battle heading into preseason camp will be at quarterback, where #Rob Parent# is coming off a stellar freshman campaign and senior #Shane Murphy# is healthy once again after being injured in the Yellow Jackets’ 2007 season-opener at Bryant. “We have a lot of skill and speed on both sides of the ball and a lot of depth at several key positions,” said head coach #Art Wilkins#, who enters his 15 season at AIC.

2008 Women's Volleyball Schedule

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. – The American International College women's volleyball team, will open its 2008 schedule August 29 with a tri-match at Post with Bridgeport, it was announced by first-year head coach #Kelly Wengerter#. The Yellow Jackets will open the home and Northeast-10 portions of their schedule against Bentley September 9 at 7 p.m.

Complete Northeast-10 Release

South Easton, Mass. – The American International College football team was selected to finish third in the 2008 Northeast-10 preseason coaches’ poll as determined by a vote of the conference’s head coaches, it was announced by the conference office. The Yellow Jackets posted a 7-2 conference record in 2007, tying them with Southern Connecticut for second place in the final standings.

2008-09 Men's Basketball Schedule

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. – The American International College men’s basketball team will open its 27-game 2008-09 season with a pair of non-conference games at Butova Gymnasium against University of the Sciences in Philadelphia (November 15) and Holy Family (November 16), it was announced by 10th-year head coach #Art Luptowski#. The Yellow Jackets will take on five teams that made the 2008 NCAA championship tournament, four of which are in the Northeat-10.

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. – The American International College women’s basketball team will open its 30-game 2008-09 schedule October 31 against USC-Aiken at Disney’s 2008 Division II Tip-Off Classic, it was announced by second-year head coach #Kristen Patterson#. The Yellow Jackets will also face Southwest Minnesota State (November 1) and Delta State (November 2) in Orlando.

For the fifth year in a row we present Inside College Hockey A to Z, an alphabetical look at a player you need to know from all 58 colleges in Division I. In this installment, we move from B to C thanks to a pair of forwards — one representing AIC with the initials "CC" and one from BC with the intials "BB," a former MVP who spent most of last season on the IR. And both will wear the "C" for their respective teams in 2008-09.
